International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)

The International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) is the mutual agreement between 48 states in the U.S and 10 provinces in Canada that allows drivers to report and pay taxes for their vehicle with only one fuel tax license.

Establish Account

In order to open IFTA for your company, please provide us:

    FEIN # (Taxpayer ID #)

    President's name (first and last)

    President's Social Security number

    Correct physical address (for IFTA, no P.O. Box or UPS store address)

    Phone number and email address

    Copies of registrations for the trucks (and lease agreement if the name on the registration is different)

    Number of decal sets needed

Renewals

    Personal name and/or corporation

    President/Owner name (if applicable)

Quarterly Filings

  • -

    Copy of your IFTA license

  • -

    Total miles in every state you've traveled for the period required

  • -

    Total gallons fueled in every state you've traveled for the period required

Heavy Highway Use Tax
(HUT 2290)

  • -

    Your employer identification number (EIN). You must have an EIN to file Form 2290 (you can't use your Social Security number)

  • -

    The vehicle identification number (VIN) of each vehicle

  • -

    The taxable gross weight of each vehicle to determine its category
